Life Is A Razor Blade

Life is a razor blade
I guess I went a little far
Put me in a metal frame, or a ruby colored jar
I’m amazed, may I somehow be explained
Emotions leave me in the rain and run over by a car
A bad migraine mixed with anxious pain
Cold depression chains always in the queue
No one knew what I could really do.
Until they read the blogs and saw me on the local news
For a second or two the whole city cried
Swore to never let me die, but you know how people lie
Life is a razor blade
Far better than a live grenade
A photo in a metal frame fading in the light
I was a pretty sight, ever brighter in the light at night
But I couldn’t tame the blade or make it go away
The big mistake served with frosted cake
Plastic forks and plates floating in the lake
No one knew what I could really be
Then I hit the Jubilee and a hundred million camera feeds
For a second or three the whole world cried
Swore to never let it die but you know how people lie
Life is a razor blade
May I be excused
Take me by hurricane, or a lion on the loose
It really cooked my goose
Wrapped me happy in a ruby noose
Told me everything was fine then watched me die online
One big dream and told girl your so strange
You can’t pre explain the falling of the sky
No one knew that I was really right
But when everything went white we all drifted into afterlife
For a second or less the whole world confessed
Said we’re sorry and surprised but you know how people lie

Swept Away Kept Away

I came here to feel alive
I came here to feel real
I came here to make believe
I came guessing everything
You made it clear screamed in my ear all my fear
Swept away, you push inequity
Kept away, you push disparity
Thin lipped smiles come as no surprise
My brain is locked on 4K eyes
If I belong how can I be wrong
Aroused by angry straight up lies
You make it clear scream in my ear all my fear
Swept away, You push inequity
Kept away, you push disparity
You tell me I brought on the drought
You tell me I bring to much rain
You tell me there's no truth to mental pain
You tell me you’re my numbercaine
You make it clear scream in my ear all my fear
Swept away, you push inequity
Kept away, you push disparity

Do as you will and never harm others
Lift up and love your sisters and brothers

Lift up and love your sisters and brothers
Creating a display of rainbow like colors

Serenade

In the night I will sleep for the morning light
In the air I will reach for what isn’t there
I will trust what I see right in front of me
I will feel many things that can not be real
Serenade
Serenade
I will taste the lonely waste of wanting yesterday
I will crave all the noise of garish empty praise
I will sparkle the flame of the ancient way
I will grieve an angels death deep in outer space
Serenade
Serenade
Sketch my eyes drifting by on mascara waves
Brush the sky and color paint this sparrows gaze
I am pierced through the bone of the soul I leave
While the solitary child dreams their masterpiece
Serenade
